Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs)

Most monitoring starts with a CEMP, often a condition of your development permit, WSA approval or DFO review. We write it for your site, covering erosion and sediment control, work windows, fish salvage, nesting birds and spill response, then carry out the monitoring it calls for. Already have a plan drafted by another consultant? We can implement that too.

Construction Environmental Monitoring

A QEP on site during clearing, excavation and instream works. We check the work against your permit, RAPR or Section 11 conditions, flag problems before they become stop-work orders, and document everything in photo-logged reports.

ESC and Turbidity Monitoring

Scheduled erosion and sediment control inspections, plus checks after heavy rain. We sample turbidity upstream and downstream, compare it to background and BC water quality guidelines, and send reports in your municipality's format with a short list of fixes.

Fish and Amphibian Salvage

Before a work area is isolated or dewatered, we capture and relocate fish and amphibians under the required provincial permits. Every salvage is documented for your file and reported as the permit requires, so instream works start on schedule.

Long-Term Operational Monitoring

Some sites need monitoring long after construction ends. We run multi-year programs for operating facilities, restoration sites and riparian plantings, including survival surveys, invasive species checks and the annual reports municipalities need before releasing securities.
